Will ‘Live’ be live from Hollywood? Well, it sounds like it’s an option. Kelly Ripa revealed there are many changes coming along with Michael Strahan’s departure. Read the brand new interview here.
Michael Strahan may not be the only one Kelly Ripa says goodbye to when he leaves Live with Kelly and Michael on May 13. According to a new interview, she actually has reason to possibly head out west. Of course, the show has been NYC based since day one in 1988! So, why would they go to the golden state now?
While Kelly points out that her daughter Lola is “deeply committed to being 14, and all the drama that goes with that,” she also wants to leave NY. “Lola, I am certain, will go to college in California,” Kelly told People magazine. “She’s been wanting to live in California since she saw that Hannah Montana movie a thousand years ago.”
The working mother also said that her daughter assumed that when Michael announced his departure, that meant a move to L.A.
“My daughter was like, ‘OMG, are we moving to L.A.? Should I start applying to schools now? Because I know all the schools out there!'” Kelly told the mag. Michael also asked her if she’d really consider moving the show to LA, and she couldn’t deny it. “Eventually I would have to go, right? And then I could be a Hollywood wife.”
Well, the show has spent a long time in NY, but who says it couldn’t move? Of course, Michael was the one traveling back and forth every week due to his engagement in LA every Sunday night on Fox NFL Sunday. So it’d be pretty crazy if right after he left, she made the transition.
Do you think Kelly should move the show to LA? Let us know!
