Katy Perry — it’s time for Orlando Bloom to really see fireworks. Kick that canoodling man to the curb. You deserve better than a boyfriend who nuzzles another woman.
Katy Perry, don’t get sad, get busy — dumping your boyfriend Orlando Bloom, who was caught on camera PDAing with Selena Gomez. Katy, it’s understandable that you would be brokenhearted after being blindsided by the news and photos that Orlando, 39 — who you’ve been dating for 4 months — would be getting physical with Selena, 23.
The pair was photographed in an embrace and snuggling after her first Las Vegas concert in her new Revival tour on Friday, May 6. And this was just days after you and Orlando went to the ultra-glamorous Met Gala together in NYC on May 6. Now, you’ve sadly tweeted a link to the heartbreaking, hit song about a lovelorn woman, “Is That All There Is?” by the legendary chanteuse, Peggy Lee. The song is a bittersweet ode to love betrayal:
And then I fell in love, with the most wonderful boy in the world.
We would take long walks by the river
Or just sit for hours gazing into each other’s eyes.
We were so very much in love.
Then one day, he went away and I thought I’d die.
But I didn’t.
And when I didn’t I said to myself,
“Is that all there is to love?”
Katy, it’s your first public statement about how you feel after this latest love deception. Once again, you have fallen “from Cloud Nine” after “falling hard with an open heart”. On Tues., May 11, you woke up again “on the concrete” to the news about Orlando and Selena. Katy, you don’t deserve this betrayal. Just like you didn’t deserve ex-husband Russell Brand, 40, dropping the bombshell — by text, no less — that he wanted a divorce after less than two years of marriage. You also didn’t deserve to have ex-boyfriend John Mayer, 38, allegedly cheat on you with a spin instructor. Katy, 31, who can blame you for asking “Is that all there is to love”? You have good reason to wonder if you will ever find a man who you can love AND trust. Well, Katy, you are an ultra-strong woman and you won’t die. But you need to start moving forward with your fabulous life and leave disloyal Orlando in your rearview mirror. So dump the player and get started on trying to figure out why you keep falling for these bad boys who can’t commit.
Get counseling, advises Jennifer Zucher, a relationship expert and cofounder of Project Soulmate. Zucher fears that Katy, for all her accomplishments, hasn’t learned to love herself. “If you don’t love yourself, you will not be lovable. So for her, as successful as she is, as famous as she is, that doesn’t always equate to being confident and loving yourself,” Zucher explains. Katy, it would actually be great if you took a relationship tip from your nemesis, Taylor Swift. Take time off from dating, enjoy your friends and gather strength from all your loved ones while you heal and grow.
Then, when you’re emotionally ready AND willing to demand true, enduring and loyal love from a man, start to date again. You’re a smart, talented, compassionate, giving woman. You’re beautiful inside and out. What you DO deserve is a true love who will cherish you for always. That’s why you need to kick Orlando to the curb and keep on dancing!
