Hayden Panettiere is officially going BACK to rehab to deal with her ongoing postpartum depression. This is the second time the ‘Nashville’ star will be seeking treatment after the birth of her daughter in Dec. 2014. Hayden was even brave enough to announce the news herself!
It’s no secret Hayden Panettiere, 26, has struggled with intense postpartum depression since giving birth to her baby girl, Kaya Klitschko back in Dec. 2014. After all, it was only in October that Hayden voluntarily — and publicly — entered a treatment facility for the illness. But while the actress seemed to be doing much better after her release, Hayden is now unexpectedly going BACK to rehab, revealing the news via Twitter and explaining to fans that she feels “stuck.”

“The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life,” the actress tweeted on May 12. “Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!” Hayden will be seeking help in Utah, according to Us Weekly.
We totally applaud Hayden for outwardly seeking treatment once again — it seems like the star wants nothing more than to get better! After all, she did admit herself to a facility back in October for the same illness. At the time of her announcement, Hayden’s rep revealed to PEOPLE that the mother-of-one was, “voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center.” Therefore this news doesn’t come as TOO much of a surprise. We just hope she gets better soon!

Hayden made her first public appearance and statement in January at the Critic’s Choice Awards. And although she seemed to be doing much better, she’s obviously experienced a bit of a relapse. In January she spoke openly about her PPD and gushed to Entertainment Tonight, “I’ve gotten an incredible amount of support and I was actually really surprised cause I feel like I grew up in this industry that, in my mind, was very judgmental.”
Hopefully she gets the same amount of support this time around — we’re rooting for you, Hayden!
What do you think about Hayden going back to rehab, HollywoodLifers? Are you shocked?
