This is it. Tied at 3 wins each, the St. Louis Blues takes on the Dallas Stars in game 7 of the second round of the NHL playoffs at the American Airlines Center on May 11. It’s going to be tense, fierce and both teams will be going at it from the offset to progress that little step closer to the Stanley Cup Finals. Click down for the live stream and watch!
Under-fire Blues goaltender Brian Elliot will be hoping for a better game than he had in game 6 when he let in 3 goals from just seven shots in 16:49 of ice time. The veteran was partly at fault for his team’s capitulation at the Scottrade Center as they lost 3-2 and were forced into game 7.
He’ll need a performance of epic proportions if he wants to stay in the team ahead of second choice Jake Allen, who had to relief him from his embarrassment in game 6. However, fans will remember in game against the Chicago Blackhawks Brian played the game of his life, saving 31 of 33 shots. So his reflexes are still there!
Both teams are 1-2 at home, so the fact that this is being played in Dallas bears no clue to which way this one’s going to go. But home support from the fans will be crucial as the pressure will no doubt have an influence on the players’ performances.
When you also factor that the Stars boast the second-best home record in the league this year, while the Blues has won 4 of their last 6 away games, trying to predict this one is even more tricky.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Stars have got this? Or will the Blues be victorious once again? Tell us what you think below!
