Adam Rose, 36 (real name Raymond Leppan) was arrested on May 11 for allegedly abusing his wife, Cassandra Leppan, in a brutal domestic violence altercation. The WWE star was arrested at 3:30am ET at his Florida home, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Click through to read the details of Adam’s arrest.
UPDATE: The WWE has released a statement regarding Adam’s arrest. “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Raymond Leppan has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”
WWE wrestler Adam was arrested by Hillsborough police on charges of domestic violence after his wife, Cassandra Leppan, accused him of grabbing her face during a fight, TMZ reports. Adam allegedly pulled Cassandra toward him by the face and screamed at her during their fight, she told police. Cassandra allegedly attempted to call 911, but Adam ripped the phone away from her. Adam admitted to withholding the phone, according to his arresting officers.
Adam was arrested on charges of felony tampering with a witness (for taking away the phone), as well as misdemeanor domestic battery. He is being held without bail while awaiting his arraignment, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Their affidavit lists the reason for the fight as “marital problems.”
Adam’s arrest comes just one month after the WWE suspended him for 60 days for violating their drug policy, on April 16. The WWE has a “wellness policy” which prohibits the use of certain drugs, such as performance enhancing substances, illegal drugs, and some medicines. The WWE didn’t disclose what Adam was found using.
