This is totally happening, guys! The band announced on May 9 that they’ll be playing some shows to celebrate the anniversary of Boys Like Girls, which featured the hit single “The Great Escape.” At the concerts, Boys Like Girls will be playing the record in its entirety, making the tour all about the album that helped jumpstart their career.

Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, May 13 at www.BoysLikeGirls.com, but unfortunately, only six cities will be hosting the band: Boston (Aug. 5 at House of Blues), New York (Aug. 6 at Playstation Theater), Sayreville, NJ (Aug. 7 at Starland Ballroom), Philadelphia (Aug. 10 at The Filmore), Columbus, OH (Aug. 11 at Newport Music Hall) and Chicago (Aug. 12 at Via Theatre).

BLG hasn’t released an album since 2012’s Crazy World, and before that, they hadn’t put out new music since 2009’s Love Drunk. The group took a hiatus in 2011 to work on some solo projects, and although bass player Bryan Donahue left at the end of that year, the rest of the guys reunited to put out Crazy World. Stream Boys Like Girls’ hits on Amazon Music here.

Unfortunately, the band hasn’t announced any plans to record new music along with this tour, but hopefully their fans will sell-out these concerts and show just how badly we want some new songs!
