This is amazing! Never before seen footage has just been released from The Prince Museum vault that shows Kendrick Lamar and Prince performing at Paisley Park in 2014. This video is everything!
This video has just made our day. It turns out Prince invited Kendrick Lamar to perform at his home, Paisley Park in 2014 in celebration of Prince’s album release of Plectrumelectrum and Art Official Age. In the video they perform “What’s My Name” from 1998’s Crystal Ball. This will give you chills, it’s so good.
It turns out that Prince was very close with Kendrick and they clearly had quite the musical chemistry. This performance has the crowd going wild and we are so happy that the Prince Museum has released this incredible footage. In the video, Kendrick is rapping and Prince, dressed all in his signature purple, busts a few moves and soothes the crowd with his amazing voice. Plus, can we talk about his incredibly all female band? You have got to watch the video below!
Meanwhile, Prince’s estate is still not settled and his family is fighting over it nonstop. They have been arguing over who gets his $300 million dollars and several of his estranged family members believe that they should get a cut. Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson believes that she is entitled to more than her other five half-brothers and half-sisters. All of this wouldn’t have been an issue if Prince simply had a will but as of now, no one can recover one. As of now a judge has made Bremer Trust the administrator of Prince’s estate until they can settle on a family representative. Wow, what a mess! We really are worried about Prince’s estate and music not having the appropriate people taking care of his hard work.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Prince and Kendrick’s performance?
