Things just keep getting weirder in the days following Prince’s untimely death at 57, as new report reveals an emergency call was made about the singer allegedly using too much cocaine.
Oh no! The mysterious private life of Prince prior to his Apr. 21 death is becoming even more curious with the news that a woman called 911 to report that he had an out of control cocaine problem. Keep reading to find out why authorities never stepped in to check out the shocking claims!
In newly released reports by the Carver County Sheriff’s Department, someone called up authorities on June 20, 2011 asking for help, because “the caller is concerned about Prince’s cocaine habits,” TMZ reports. According to the details of that 911 conversation, the caller claimed that Prince told her in 2010 in Germany that he “cannot control his habit.” Yikes!
The Sheriff’s staffers thought the report sounded a little sketchy and ended up calling the woman back. They told her that since the information was a year old and there was no proof that Prince was in any immediate danger they didn’t pursue the case. It’s unclear who the woman was or what her relationship was to the late singer, or why she waited a year to make the outrageous claim,
According to the site, there’s another record of a 911 call to Prince’s Paisley Park estate in the newly released documents. In October 2013, a call came in for a 53-year-old male who was “dehydrated,” and he was transported to a medical center. The age would imply that it could have been the late singer, who admitted in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone that he often forgot to eat or drink. “I have gone long periods with no food, and also water – people have to remind me to drink water because I always forget to do that,” he revealed to the magazine.
HollywoodLifers, do you believe the 911 caller claiming Prince had a cocaine habit? Or do you think it was just a prank?
