Wow. There are almost no words to describe how absolutely gorgeous Zoe Saldana looked in her Dolce & Gabanna gown. That train will definitely make Met Ball history!
Zoe Saldana, 37, was definitely one of the “Best Dressed” of the evening with her Dolce & Gabanna gown at the 2016 Met Ball on Monday night, May 2, in New York City. Plus, with hubby Marco Perego by her side, she was positively glowing. Love it!

Seriously, where do we even start with Zoe Saldana’s gown? As mentioned, it’s a Dolce & Gabanna piece, and it looks as if it was designed specifically for Zoe. Although the train was definitely the centerpiece of her gown, lets review it in full first!
The top of Zoe’s gown — possibly even it’s own piece — appears to be a black lace corset that fit her like a glove. The skirt meets the corset at the waist, and slowly but surely becomes it’s own life force as fabric and feathers combine to create one gorgeous bottom half.
While the skirt hits the floor just perfectly in the front, the back extends into a train that flowed flawlessly behind Zoe as she arrived on the Met steps. As you can see in the photo, it laid down over many steps behind her and left everyone around her breathless. Talk about a match made in Heaven!
Of course, we would be remiss not to mention Zoe’s handsome husband, Marco, who diligently stuck by her side as they arrived together. On the red carpet, Zoe snuggled up to her husband while posing for photos with the train falling behind them both like a built-in backdrop. They made such a stunning pair!
Believe it or not, Zoe’s gown originally caused some slight controversy on social media when the first fan picture of her surfaced. Even though the photo was captioned as “Miss Saldana,” it was copied and circulated as being none other than Katy Perry. Since the photo was taken from behind there was no way to be sure who it really was, until, of course, Zoe hit the carpet and let everyone know what was up. Phew!
