It’s getting down to the nitty-gritty! The top 10 contestants on The Voice hit the stage on the May 2 episode and performed their hearts out. Hannah Huston, Alison Porter and Adam Wakefield were the stars of the night, while others fell flat.

Michelle Obama and Jill Biden hit the stage to celebrate the 5th anniversary of their Joining Forces initiative. After talking about their moving experience with troops and their families, they introduced the top 10! The contestants sang an amazing rendition of Dierks Bentley’s “Home.”
First up in the competition was Team Pharrell’s Daniel Passino, who nearly got eliminated last week. As expected, he was more nervous than ever after that. Pharrell pumped him up and told him he’s a fighter. Daniel decided to take things to the next level by singing Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” His performance was a bit safe and boring. Christina Aguilera and Pharrell both noticed pitch issues with his performance, but they didn’t go too hard on him.
Next up was Shalyah Fearing from Team Adam. She was singing Emeli Sande’s “My Kind Of Love.” She killed it in practice, so it wasn’t a surprise when she SLAYED on the show. She brought down the house. Shalyah has such a powerful voice! Adam Levine praised her performance as “excellent” and begged America to keep her in the competition!
Nick Hagelin of Team Christina took on the King of Pop’s “I Can’t Help It.” He took a big risk with his performance. His rendition was soulful and fun, but there was no wow factor. Contrary to my opinion, Pharrell and Christina loved it.
Team Pharrell’s Hannah Huston decided to sing QUEEN ADELE. She wowed everyone with her edgy rendition of “Rolling In The Deep.” Someone get that girl a record deal! All the judges RAVED over her performance. I mean, it was fantastic.
Laith Al-Saadi was up next. He gave a crazy good performance of B.B. King’s “The Thrill Is Gone.” He proved once again that he’s a force to be reckoned with in the competition. The dude is a multi-talented STAR.
Blake just had one note for him — SING MORE! Adam applauded Laith’s musical talents. Laith truly is extraordinary.
Finally, Team Blake showed up! Paxton Ingram had an incredible show last week, so he needed to push the limits once again. He sang Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back To Me To Now” and SLAYED. Paxton was just on another level. Is he even real?! Blake Shelton looked like a proud papa when Paxton finished. He couldn’t stop smiling!
Mary Sarah brought country music to The Voice with her performance of “Stand By Your Man” by Tammy Wynette. She was great! Tammy would be proud! Needless to say, the judges were obsessed with her performance.
Bryan Bautista from Team Christina changed the game by singing part of his performance in Spanish! He sang “Promise” by Romeo Santos and Usher. He was awesome. It was such a lively performance.
Frontrunner Alisan Porter was up next. She dedicated her performance to an ex, who passed away shortly after they broke up. Her rendition of the Dixie Chicks’ “Let Him Fly” was nothing short of beautiful. Christina commended Alisan for her brave performance.
Adam Wakefield from Team Blake was the last performance. He dedicated his performance of Johnny Rivers’ “I Got A Woman” to his girlfriend. Adam shined on the stage, especially on the piano. He was electrifying!
Pharrell couldn’t get over how good Adam was. “You are the next one!” Pharrell said! Blake followed up by saying Adam’s performance was his “favorite” of the night!
