Nina Dobrev looked like she walked straight out of a fairytale at the 2016 Met Gala. Wearing a golden ball gown, Nina pulled her hair into an intricate knot and matched her sparkling gold eyeshadow to her dress. Get the details, ahead!
Nina Dobrev, 27, was an actual princess at NYC’S Met Gala on May 2. The actress stunned in a gold Marchesa dress that was covered with sparkling embellishments and tiny embroidered flowers. While we’re not exactly sure how the dress fit with the Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology theme, we won’t even question it because she looked so amazing.
Ahead of the highly anticipated event, Nina took to Instagram to tease her final look, but we couldn’t have dreamed the end result. To complement her intricate ball gown, Nina wore her hair in an elegant chignon, playing up her makeup with lots of shimmer.
Ryan Trygstad styled Nina’s hair, working with Oribe to create a polished look. Parting her long dark hair down the center, Ryan gathered it at the nape of Nina’s neck, and accessorized with a headpiece.
For her makeup, Spencer Barnes concentrated on a gold smokey eye that was lined with the Merle Norman Soft Touch Eye Pencil. But first, Spencer prepped Nina’s skin with the new GlamGlow GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer on her face and the GlamGlow PoutMud Wet Lip Blam Treatment to keep her lips hydrated and smooth.
We didn’t think it could get more glam than the look Nina sported while attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend, but she proved that she still had some magic up her sleeves. Trading in her WHCD figure-fitting dress for her Met Gala ball gown, Nina also did a complete switch-up with her beauty look. Previously wearing her hair down in loose curls with a bold pink lip, Nina showed that she’s not afraid to experiment with her beauty looks.
