The Met Gala is like the Oscars of fashion — and the 2016 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala didn’t disappoint. Taylor recently debuted an edgy new sense of style which works so well with her bleached-blonde ‘do — and, given the theme of the evening, she took full advantage of showing off her new style. She rose to the opportunity as she stepped out in a silver ruffled cutout Louis Vuitton mini, which she rocked with lace-up black sandals that extended to the knee and a dark lip. We’ve never seen Taylor quite like this before, and we must say, this is the best “edgy” look we’ve seen on her. We love the way the frock featured a ruffle, blending Taylor’s former sense of style with her new look.
Hot mama Kim Kardashian showed off her slimmed-down, post-baby body in a gorgeous ensemble — and we couldn’t think of a better place for her to flaunt her figure than on the steps of the Met — she looked amazing! Also in attendance was Kylie Jenner who made her debut at the glam event clad in an embellished Balmain gown which featured sheer panels. Showing some skin proved to be a popular theme as Kendall Jenner also dared to bare in her Versace number.
One reason we love the Met Gala so much is because a slew of famous faces from all different areas step out and unite in the name of fashion. From actors and actresses to singers and top models and designers, the crowd is seriously chic — and you never know what they’ll wear next! If you loved all of the action on the red carpet, don’t miss a behind-the-scenes look at the Gala! WATCH the First Monday in May documentary, based on the 2015 event, RIGHT HERE.
