Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology was the official theme of this year’s Met Ball, and while some celebrities added metallic embellishments to their looks or went with head-to-toe sparkles, Lupita outdid them all.
We’re not entirely sure how Lupita’s hair look was executed, but one thing is for sure, it’s the most detailed hairstyle that walked the red carpet at the Met Ball — and possible ever! Instead of wearing her hair slicked back like most did to create a modern vibe, Lupita’s hair was stacked sky-high and sectioned off into several buns.
As always, the Lancome spokesmodel worked with Nick Barose, and her makeup was stunning. Adding a structural element to her makeup as well, Nick gave Lupita a thick cat eye, adding soft green shadows to the eyes and finishing with a nude lip.
Lupita is always a risk taker on the red carpet, so while her stacked hairstyle had our jaws dropping, it wasn’t a complete shock to see Lupita was the one rocking it. The last time Lupita went bold with her look was at the Star Wars premiere, when she wore metallic blue lipstick that had us wanting to copy her, ASAP. While we’re not sure this hairstyle will catch on, we do give her major points for going all in with the theme.
What do you think of Lupita’s look, HollywoodLifers? Totally crazy or are you into her themed look?
