Team Jess, this interview is for you. HollywoodLife.com talked to Milo Ventimiglia EXCLUSIVELY about the Gilmore Girls revival and got some awesome scoop about Jess and Rory! Plus, Milo revealed what it was like to be on set again after all this time!
“You know, I don’t know,” Milo told HollywoodLife.com while promoting his new series, Relationship Status, during the Tribeca Film Festival. “I’m going to kind of plead the fifth. I’m not the writers, so who knows how things should have worked out. I think there is the hope and the want I think with about 70% of the viewers out there. I think it’s because it was always a big unanswered question with Jess and Rory. That’s something we will get into a little bit or maybe not — I don’t know.”
Aw! Jess and Rory’s romance on Gilmore Girls was one of the many highlights of the series. Jess arrived in season two of the hit show and was the one to break up Star Hollow’s “it” couple Dean and Rory.
Jess and Rory got each other like no one else could, but they eventually broke up. Fans have held out hope that this fan favorite couple will reunite one day. Catch up on Gilmore Girls by signing up for Amazon Prime now!
Almost the entire original cast of Gilmore Girls will return for the Netflix revival. HollywoodLife.com asked Milo what it was like being back in Stars Hollow.
“It was a blast,” he told us. “I think when you get to revisit something that you did so long ago and they you held so reverently as I do with Gilmore, it was sort of the first thing that kind of put me on the map. And Jess was an iconic character. It’s fun to step back into those shoes and that set and hang out with friends that spent a lot of time together. For me, I was always the biggest fan of Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino, and I would do anything for them. They let me know this was happening. I was like great. If I’m going to be across the world I will absolutely be there. If i have nothing to do, I will absolutely be there. I knew the fans would love it. That was something that was important to me — going back not only for the cast and crew that was going to play a little bit longer, but for the fans. That’s why I do a lot of what i do in front of the cameras. I want people to enjoy the work that I’m participating in.”
