Kendall Jenner was absolutely starstruck when she shook hands with President Barack Obama at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 30. But, unfortunately, their conversation had nothing to do with her. To find out what he said to her, keep reading!
Kendall Jenner attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 30, but if you asked President Barack Obama, he probably would have rather had Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at the event, representing the Kardashian klan.
“He was like, ‘Say hi to Kim and Kanye,'” Kendall told PEOPLE about her meeting with the President. “I was like ‘Okay.'”
Kendall also said she doesn’t typically get starstruck, but when she met the President, that all changed. “Never,” she told the magazine. “That was like my first time, ever.”
Aw — that’s so cute. But Kendall probably wished he focused on her during their handshake, not her more famous sister.

Later during the night, things didn’t get much better. During Obama’s speech, he said he wasn’t quite sure why the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was even there. While up on stage, he talked about meeting Kendall before dinner, and that she seemed like a very nice young woman, but then he threw a jab at her and said he’s “not sure what she does!” Ouch.
We have to admit — it’s funny that Obama has become so fond of Kanye. There was once a time, not too long ago, when he thought the rapper was a complete “jackass.” Obama first called the rapper a “jackass” in 2009, following his now infamous stunt at the 2009 MTV VMAs, and then, again in 2012, when he told The Atlantic, “He is a jackass. But he’s talented.” We assume his mind has changed over the years, since he was missing Kanye on Saturday evening. Either that, or he really doesn’t like Kendall.
