That’s some Presidential-grade shade! Barack Obama made sure to get a shot in at Donald Trump during his last White House Correspondents Dinner on April 30, saying the Donald’s exceptionally good at running businesses ‘into the ground.’
Move aside, Larry Wilmore, 54, because Barry’s got this. President Barack Obama, 54, didn’t need any help from the host of the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner to mock his long-time nemesis, Donald Trump, 69. During the elegant gala, the Comedian-in-Chief trashed Trump, saying the ex-Celebrity Apprentice star isn’t as great as a businessman as he claims to be!
“There’s one area where Donald’s experience could be invaluable,” Barack said during the April 30 event at the Washington D.C. Hilton Hotel. “And that’s closing Guantanamo Bay. Because, Trump knows a thing or two about running waterfront properties into the ground.”
“The Republican establishment,” Barack continued, “[says] he lacks foreign-policy experience to be president. In fairness, he has spent years meeting with leaders from around the world: Miss Sweden, Miss Argentina, Miss Azerbaijan.” Oooh, a Miss Universe-level diss. Nice, Mr. President.
Barack also got another sick burn on Donald, thanks to help from former New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg, 74. Barack pointed out the former-Republican presidential candidate. “Mike, a combative, controversial New York billionaire is leading the GOP primary and it’s not you. That’s got to sting a little bit? Although it’s not an entirely fair comparison, Mike and The Donald. After all, Mike was a big city mayor, knows policy in depth, and he’s actually worth the amount of money that he says he is!”
This isn’t the first time Barack has laid the verbal smackdown on Donald, and with eight more months left in his presidency, it may not be the last. When getting ready to deliver his last State of the Union address, President Obama suggested the only time Donald will deliver such a speech is part of a skit on Saturday Night Live!

Yikes! It’s because of that slam that it’s no surprise Donald gave Barack’s final SOTU a big thumbs down, calling it “boring, slow, lethargic” and “hard to watch.” Considering all the horrible things Donald has said about Hillary Clinton, 68, him calling Obama “boring” was pretty tame.
As bewildering and outrageous as Donald can be, he’s not the most entertaining candidate in the 2016 presidential race. That award goes to Hillary, especially whenever she logs on to social media. She displayed her sense of humor by slamming Donald with some clever Snapchat face swaps. Could President Hillary Clinton be funnier than Barack Obama at next year’s White House Correspondents’ dinner? We’ll have to wait and see.
What did you think about Barack’s joke about Donald Trump, HollywoodLifers?
