She’s back — and fans are all about it! Kelly Ripa supporters flooded Twitter with loving messages after she addressed the issue of equal rights in the workplace during her ‘Live!’ return on April 26. See their supportive tweets here!
Kelly Ripa, 45, returned to Live! classier than ever on April 26, but she didn’t shy away from talking about what went down between herself and ABC’s parent company, Disney, last week. The talk show host slammed the higher-ups for not treating her with respect throughout this whole situation, and fans are totally on her side.

“What transpired, though, over the course of a few days, has been extraordinary in the sense that it started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and, most importantly, respect in the workplace,” Kelly explained in her monologue.
The 45-year-old is, of course, referring to the fact that execs didn’t fill her in on Michael Strahan’s decision to leave Live!, and she then found out at the same time as the rest of the public. She was understandably blindsided by the move, and admitted in her return episode that she took a sick day to “gather her thoughts.”
Luckily, through that conversation about equal workplace rights, Kelly was able to work things out with her bosses. “Apologies have been made and the best thing to come out of all of this, you guys, is that our parent company has assured me that Live! is a priority,” she revealed. “There is a commitment to this show and the people that work here and, most importantly, to you, the viewers, who have watched us every day for 30 years.”
