Beyoncé sure knows how to grab our attention, and boy did she ever with her lyrical hints about Jay Z’s infidelity on ‘Lemonade.’ HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that she’s absolutely loving the drama it stirred up!
There’s no celebrity better at lighting a gossip match and watch things go up in flames the way Beyoncé, 34, can and she’s loving every minute of it. She has the whole world guessing if hubby Jay Z, 46, stepped out on her, and who “Becky with the good hair” is. HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY she’s basking in the attention that just one little lyric caused!
“Beyoncé is loving all the talk that is coming from the Lemonade fallout and she wants it to continue forever. She doesn’t want to tell people if they are right or wrong in their assumptions, she wants people to continue guessing,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. With the simple line “He only want me when I’m not there. He better call Becky with the good hair,” Bey set of a firestorm where people assumed she was referring to Jay Z cheating on her, and bigger still, who is “Becky?”
“She wants to make this her version of Carly Simon‘s “You’re So Vain” and she wants it to last and have people continue to ask questions about it for the rest of her life.” our source adds. Carly, 70, has kept the identity of the subject of her 1972 classic a secret for years, but only in Nov. 2015 finally admit that the person was a combination of three men, one of whom was actor Warren Beatty, 79. Ever since Lemonade dropped on Apr. 24, speculation has been rife about who the woman Jay may or may not have cheated on her with could be. Designer Rachel Roy, 42, seemed the most likely culprit as she Instagrammed out a picture captioned “Good hair, don’t care” in what seemed like a taunt. Not only that, there were rumors of an alleged affair between Rachel and the rap mogul that reportedly caused Bey’s sister Solange, 29, to attack him in an elevator over it after the 2015 Met Ball. Rachel made her Instagram private and later went into hiding after the wrath she incurred from Bey’s fans.
Rita Ora, 25, was also a popular guess and took the full wrath of the Beyhive for wearing the exact same dress that the singer wore in her “Formation” video, as well as a lemon bra. She had to make a public statement of denial, tweeting “I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumors are false,” she wrote. “I have nothing but the upmost respect for Beyoncé. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade.”
HollywoodLifers, do you think that Bey is really singing about a woman who Jay cheated with? Or did she just stir things up for attention?
