If it’s an intense workout that you crave to torch calories so you can eat more pizza, like Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell, you’ll want to follow her lead. The incredibly toned actress is constantly sharing videos and pictures of her super sweaty workouts, sticking to boxing and spinning classes. And while she sticks to a healthy diet most of the time (she likes to start the day off with grapefruit), if you follow her on Instagram, you know that pizza and wine are regular indulgences. Even when she’s busy traveling for work, she makes sure not to skip a workout, saying, “Finding time to hit the gym on the road is hard, but not impossible.” Another fan of spin classes is Demi, who’s shared pics of herself gearing up for a sweat sesh, and has even shared Instagram pics while in the gym, building muscle strength by adding weights to her planks.
If you’re looking to ease yourself into toning up, follow Britney and Jennifer Aniston‘s lead with yoga. While Britney posts pictures of herself practicing yoga, she also burns even more calories on stage during her Piece Of Me shows in Vegas, and she works in cardio classes at the gym which allows her to be a little less strict with her diet. According to US Weekly, Britney still indulges in fast food, but to fuel her workouts, she eats egg whites, whole wheat toast and fruit (she especially loves peaches).
Jen, who was recently named People magazine’s Most Beautiful, also loves yoga, revealing that she does a spin-yoga combo three days a week. “[I do] 25 to 30 minutes of spinning and then 30 to 40 minutes of yoga,” she said of the routine behind her famously toned bikini body. Of course, she also credits a healthy diet to her flat abs, sharing that her daily diet consists of carb-free meals like hard-boiled eggs, tuna, salads and roast chicken.
Similarly, BFFs Lea Michele and Emma Roberts turn to Pilates for building lean muscle. Often working out together, Lea credits Emma with introducing her to the low-impact workout while filming Scream Queens together in New Orleans. Taking classes together at the Romney Pilates Center, the duo prove that working out with a friend is both effective and fun.
