OMG this is shocking! Prince suffered a drug overdose just six days before he died. It turns out it wasn’t the flu that caused his plane made an emergency landing in Illinois, as it was something far more dangerous.
What a bombshell! Prince had a serious drug overdose in the days leading up to his Apr. 21 death. A new report claims the 57-year-old needed an urgent “save shot” to counter the effects of some type of opiate. This totally goes against what his camp had previously claimed to have been just a bad bout of the flu as to why he suddenly needed immediate hospitalization.
Prince was rushed to a hospital in Moline, Ill Apr. 15 after his flight made an emergency landing due to his health. Now TMZ is reporting that the singer needed a “save shot” from a doctor in order to combat an opiate overdose. This is way off of the initial claims that he had been taken ill with the flu and needed immediate attention. That story never quite held up as he was only 48 more minutes by air from his Minnesota home when the urgent stop happened.
The site also claims that doctors advised Prince to stay in the hospital for at least a day, but that his people demanded that he get a private room. When they were told none were available, Prince and his entourage flew back home after spending only three hours in the hospital. TMZ also says their sources said that when Prince left he “was not doing well.” Stream Prince’s music, completely unlimited and ad-free, RIGHT HERE.
Prince had reportedly been battling a bad case of the flu that had caused him to postpone two of his Piano & a Microphone tour stops in Atlanta. He ended up making good on his Apr. 14 appearance there at the Fox Theater, where the audience members said he played a masterful show and didn’t show any outward signs of being in ill health. It was on the flight home to Minnesota from that show where his plane made the emergency landing for his health crisis, and now we now why there was so much urgency involved.
