Kelly Ripa may be losing more than just a co-host now that Michael Strahan is leaving ‘Live.’ She’s completely livid over the news that Michael’s ditching her to head to ‘GMA,’ especially since there’s rumors flying that her talk show might be getting the boot from it’s 9 a.m. time slot, according to a new report. Yikes!
The tension is HIGH after Michael Strahan’s announcement of his exit from Live! With Kelly & Michael — especially with his co-host, Kelly Ripa. The 45-year-old is reportedly livid over the decision, and is growing worried about the fate of her show now that she’s been left in the dust. She even skipped his first show back!

As we previously told you, Kelly, along with Live! producers, were completely blindsided when Michael revealed on April 19 that he’d be leaving the show to take on a permanent role at Good Morning America.
But her shock quickly turned to anger, especially since there’s ‘serious talk’ that Live! might lose its 9 a.m. time slot so GMA can get an extra hour in the morning, according to TMZ. It’s still unclear whether or not a GMA extension would mean Kelly gets the boot completely, or if she’ll get another slot on the network at a later hour, but it’s definitely an interesting turn of events.
“I look forward to continuing to work with the incredible team at GMA,” the former football star said in a statement. “It is an exciting opportunity to be able to bring unique stories and voices o the audience.”
“My time with LIVe with Kelly & Michael has been transformative, and my departure will be bittersweet,” he added. “Kelly has been an unbelievable partner, and I am so thankful to her and the entire team. I am extremely grateful for the amazing support I’ve received from all of the fans.”
Michael will remain on Live! until this summer, and it’s unclear who will replace him at that point. “They are hoping it will be someone brand new and someone not expected,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Someone that embodies the pleasant surprise that Kelly was when she got the job and Michael was when he got the job.”
Do you think Kelly will lose her time slot so GMA can get an extra hour, HollywoodLifers? Or will she keep Live fresh enough to hold her own?
