The fat lady must be singing, because Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani’s marriage is officially over. The split was finalized on April 20, according to a report. We’re sure Gwen is thrilled to be done with her cheating ex, but she might not be as happy with her settlement. Here’s the scoop.
It’s finally over! Gwen Stefani, 46, and Gavin Rossdale, 50, have been battling through their divorce for the past nine months, and on April 20 the split was finally made official. However, Gwen’s glee at Gavin being gone for good may turn to anger at the terms of her settlement. Find out what they are, right here.
After nine long months, Gwen’s marriage to Gavin is officially dunzo. The paperwork was finalized on April 20, and she can finally move on in her relationship to Blake Shelton with nothing standing in the way. She must be so excited! However, her settlement wasn’t exactly amazing.
ET reports that Gwen was forced to split the profits to her Beverly Hills home with Gavin, even though she did all the work in renovating and updating it, including the addition of an entire wing. She also lives there with their three children Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, so they will have to move. Bummer!
While that part of the settlement isn’t ideal, she did dodge a major bullet. Since the couple didn’t have a prenup, California requires she give half of all of the money she has to Gavin. She is worth $120 million to his $35 million. That would have been quite a hit. Luckily, he waived that right allowing her to keep what she earned. However, another report from InTouch Weekly claims that she was forced to hand over $25 million. It’s unclear if that’s from the house of her own income. There will also be no child support or spousal going either way.
