Season 10 of ‘The Voice’ has been all about Team Christina, but on the April 18 episode, Team Pharrell totally stole the show. His three artists, Emily Keener, Daniel Passino and Hannah Huston, stood out above the rest, and proved they won’t be easy to beat as the competition continues.
Did Pharrell’s team just take over for Christina Aguilera’s team as front-runners on Season 10 of The Voice?! I was totally blown away by Hannah Huston, Emily Keener and Daniel Passino’s performances on the April 18, Top 12 episode, and after just one night, I’m suddenly not so sure about how this season is going to shake out.

I’ve been Team Christina all the way this entire season: Literally, if all six of her Live Playoff artists could’ve made the Top 12, I would’ve been okay with it. And while Alisan Porter obviously slayed as usual last night, I wasn’t beyond impressed with Bryan Bautista and Nick Hagelin (and that’s saying a lot — because he’s one of my favorites).
But part of the reason these two fell into the background for me was because Pharrell’s team really brought it in a big way. Hannah absolutely nailed her performance of “Something’s Got A Hold Of Me,” and her cheerful personality has to be enough to win over just about anyone. And I was SO impressed with the way Daniel took control of his rehearsal to add an artistic element to his set. Plus, he sang a Michael Jackson song, which is never an easy feat, and he did it flawlessly.
As for Emily, I have to say, her style isn’t my absolute favorite, but there’s no denying that she was absolute perfection while performing “Lilac Wine.” She was the first artist of the night to get a standing ovation from all four coaches, and it couldn’t have been more deserved. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still totally loving Alisan, as well as Mary Sarah from Blake Shelton’s team and Owen Danoff on Team Adam Levine, among others, but Hannah, Emily and Daniel were definitely last night’s stand-outs and I will be beyond shocked if any of them are the one contestant sent home in the April 19 episode. Don’t disappoint me, America!
Do you think Pharrell’s team had the best performances of the night, HollywoodLifers? Who do you think will win Season 10 of The Voice?
