‘Star Wars’ fans, you never thought you’d see the day where you’d be jealous of the royals; but it’s here. And it’s not in a galaxy far far away.
Prince William and Prince Harry lived every fan’s fantasy on April 19 when they were granted a set visit to Star Wars: Episode VIII — and not only did they meet the star-studded cast, they also played with BB-8, hugged Chewbacca, and yes, got in a lightsaber match. See all the pics and a hilarious video here.

In the photos, shared by the Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account, we see Harry and William chatting with Daisy Ridley (and played with her head!), and they look like they’re having a blast! In another shot, William is absolutely beaming speaking to Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill as well as this episode’s director, Rian Johnson.
“The Duke of Cambridge, President of @BAFTA, and Prince Harry will visit the @starwars film set @PinewoodStudios tomorrow,” the account tweeted yesterday. “Their visit will recognise the wealth of fantastic British creative talent involved in the production of the @starwars films…The Duke and Prince Harry will visit production workshops @PinewoodStudios, meeting the specialist teams working on the @starwars films.”
Mark Hamill was pretty excited too; before the visit, he took to Twitter, too: “Meeting #Royals William & Harry,” he wrote. “Finally- a chance to get an informed answer on whether being Leia’s brother makes me a Prince. #LordLuke.”
What else did they do on set? Well, Harry embraced with Chewie, but because who wouldn’t, William chatted with BB-8 and of course, they went face-to-face in a good old fashioned light saber fight. Yes really.
