Did basketball god Stephen Curry learn his outrageous court skills from President Barack Obama? If this hilarious video from The White House is anything to go by, that’s a resounding YES! Click to see Obama schooling the Golden State Warriors star on improving his jump shot!
Stephen Curry, 28, may be blitzing the playoffs with his Golden State Warriors, leading them to a huge victory over the Houston Rockets on Apr. 16, but is it all down to some friendly advice from President Barack Obama, 54, if this super cute video is anything to go by. And after all, we know the President is a dab hand on the basketball court.
The video, which is part of a campaign for the President’s mentoring initiative called My Brother’s Keeper, shows Barack giving some helpful advice to his protege, who in this case is Steph.
At the beginning of the video, he walks the MVP through his resume, telling him to lose the clip art and take out the phrase “incredible dancer” — brilliant!
They then continue their bro affair with a simple game of Connect Four. Or so you think simple, it’s super competitive with Barack wining and doing a little victory dance as Steph hangs his head in shame!
Finally, and the clincher for us, we see Barack teaching his young padawan how to perfect his jump shot! Yeah, right! The king of three-pointers needs to be shown how to shoot? That’s a step too far! But there’s high-fives all-round at the end as they two embrace for a wonderful bro-ment!
My Brother’s Keeper was set-up by Barack in an attempt to provide role models for young men of color. It looks like it’s doing its job, if this video is anything to go by!
