Zedd set the scene first by telling the crowd, “This is a huge moment for me. I have a very special guest for you guys. I want you to make a huge response for Kesha!” The crowd screamed as Kesha made her way onto the stage, with a mic in hand belting out “True Colors.” It was an amazing response and she seemed so happy to be there.
Of course, fans were almost half-expecting Kesha to appear alongside Zedd after it was rumored earlier in the day that she was set to perform alongside the German-born DJ and producer.
After her legal battle with Sony and her sexual assault claim against Dr. Luke, it’s great to see Kesha out on stage doing her thing. Zedd himself has also been vocal about working with the singer in the future.
Kesha filed a lawsuit back in Oct. 2014 alleging that Dr. Luke had drugged, raped and verbally abused her. He denied all of those accusations, and a court in NY dismissed a lot of charges last month. However, the lawsuit to continue her recording career with Dr. Luke is still ongoing.
It’s great to see Kesha doing what she does best — performing live again. Maybe this is just the beginning and we’ll see her with collaborate with Zedd in the future again? We’ll just have to wait and see!
