Coachella’s about to be transformed into Paradise City, thanks to Guns N’ Roses. The legendary metal band will tear the house down during their set and HollywoodLife.com wants you to see every explosive second. Click to watch!
Get ready to headbang and throw up those devil horns because Guns N’ Roses are back! Axl Rose, 54, Slash, 50, and other original members of the iconic metal band are ready to show Coachella how to rock and the performance is bound to be epic!
Axl and Slash will be joined by original GNR members Duff McKagan, 52, and Dizzy Reed, 52, when they headline Coachella on April 23 at Coachella. They’re set to take the stage at 10:30 PM PST (that’s 1:30 AM for all you East Coasters staying up late to catch them.) Even if you’re in your pajamas, make sure your festival fashion is as sharp as Slash’s guitar solos before watching this slice of rock history.
The Coachella appearance is part of Guns N’ Roses return from the dead, as the band is going on its first tour in 23 years. Unfortunately, their reunion started off on the wrong foot – literally. Axl broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot during an intimate show at the Troubador club in Hollywood On April 1. Seems he rocked too hard during “Mr. Brownstone,” as he needed a cast to fix his broken bone! Be sure you don’t rock too hard after signing up for unlimited and ad-free streaming music.
There’s one thing a cast can’t mend and that’s bad blood. For the longest time, Axl and Slash hated each other, but they finally put their differences aside. “It was probably way overdue, you know,” Slash said during an interview with Sweden’s Aftonbladet TV. “But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative … dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
It’s been a long time since these hair metal icons have shared the stage. Until that Troubador show, Slash and Axl hadn’t played a concert together since 1993. The band performed at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards, but Axl was the only original member of the group on stage. That incarnation of the group released Chinese Democracy in 2008, but expect some deep cuts and classic hits when the band plays Coachella. Get ready to rock!
