WWE’s Adam Rose and Konnor have been suspended from competing in the sport after violating the WWE’s drug policy for a second time. Click to read the full details!
Naughty, naughty! WWE stars Adam Rose and Konnor, both 36, have been given a 60-day suspension for testing positive for a banned substance and violating the organizations’ wellness policy, according to a report by TMZ.
While the illegal substances they were banned for haven’t been disclosed, the entertainment site speculates that they violated the strict WWE drug policy rule, which includes using performance enhancers, illegal substances and various meds.
HollywoodLife.com received the following statement from the WWE: “In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Raymond Leppan (Adam Rose) and Ryan Parmeter (Konnor) each for 60 days effective immediately for a second violation of the company’s policy.”
So far, the wrestlers themselves are yet to comment, and WWE officials wouldn’t say what it is they were suspected of taking that caused their suspension.
This is the second time that former two-time FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion Adam and Konnor have been suspended. Back in May 2014, Adam was banned for 30-days. Konnor’s first failed attempt cost him 30 days too.
Adam has been a member of the WWE since 2010, first fighting under the name of Leo Kruger before developing his new persona in 2014. He is a valued member of the Social Outcasts, alongside Heath Slater, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
As for Konnor, he initially signed a development deal with the WWE in 2005. Formerly known as Ryan O’Reilly, then Conor O’Brian, he changed his name to Konnor when he formed the Ascension with Viktor in NXT in 2013. They became the longest reigning WWE Tag Team champs in NXT history and are put of WWE’s main roster.
We hope that the boys learn their lesson this time round and don’t fall foul of WWE’s drug policy again. In two months, they will be back though!
