So exciting! Olympian Shawn Johnson, 24, and NFL star Andrew East, 24, will become a married couple on April 17! The love birds will say their vows in a country-inspired wedding complete with a custom-made wedding dress and a star-studded guest list. But while they’re having the ultimate dream wedding, Shawn’s admitted that she’s also super nervous to say, “I do.”
“I’m feeling a little overwhelmed,” Shawn revealed to People magazine about the nuptials. “You never realize how many small details crop up so close to the wedding. Seating arrangements, trying to find ceremony music, picking up favor bags, writing cards.” We totally get it! Planning a wedding is pretty stressful but at the same time, we just love how Shawn and Andrew are so stinking cute together — and Shawn agrees!
There is NO doubt in her mind that the football player is the right one for her. “Everything is right about him!” she gushed. “The more I wasn’t trying to impress him by being that celebrity girl or Olympic gymnast, but was just my weird, awkward self, the more he loved me. And it just became more and more comfortable.” Aw!

The happy couple are walking down the aisle in Nashville on April 17 in front of a crowd of 350 people! Their impressive guest list consists of the likes of NFL stars, Olympic athletes, actors, and even Dancing With the Stars celebs. Talk about one fun after-party! But there has been one thing Shawn has been adamant about, she doesn’t want an extravagant event. “It’s going to be informal and quirky rather than it being a grand affair. We don’t envision the Cinderella story at all,” Shawn said.
But while Shawn and Andrew’s closest friends and family will all be there to support the pair, Shawn has also revealed that that alone makes her a bit shaky. “This is strange but I’m a very shy person in front of crowds, so the whole idea of everybody being there for just Andrew and me, and everybody staring at us makes me really nervous,” the gymnast admitted. “And I’m not a really girly-girl and I’ll have on this beautiful dress and it’s out of my comfort zone.”
At least the Olympian will LOOK fantastic though, no matter how nervous she is! After all, her gown, custom-made by Nashville-based designer Olia Zavozina, is Shawn’s dream dress. “She took me through this whole process of trying on 10 to 15 different dresses in her studio and asking me what I liked and didn’t like and looking at fabrics,” Shawn shared with Us Weekly. “We’re building it from the ground up. I’m so excited. I’m obsessed with it.”

We just know the bride-to-be is going to look absolutely flawless as she floats down the aisle! We really can’t wait to see her fabulous wedding day look. And for those of you who may have forgotten, Shawn and Andrew got engaged back in July when the football player dropped to one knee in the middle of Wrigley Field in Chicago. He even surprised the gymnast in front of the cheering crowd — so romantic!
