Pink’s hyped up song ‘Just Like Fire’ for ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ has FINALLY dropped! She’s been teasing fans for weeks and now Hollywoodlife.com brings you the amazing track. Watch it here!
Pink’s, 36, contribution to Alice Through the Looking Glass soundtrack is finally here. After teasing the song on Twitter for weeks, “Just Like Fire” has landed AT LAST. Lyrically, the song is about celebrating individuality, which is definitely a fitting theme for the movie which is full of odd and random characters – right up Lewis Carroll’s street! Scroll down to listen to the song and see the trippy video!
The song begins with a strummed acoustic guitar, as Pink sings throughout the track, “No one can be just like me anyway.” It builds up to a dubstep drop and then there’s a rap breakdown too. The song was co-written by Pink, Max Martin, Shellback and Oscar Holter and produced by Max, Shellback and Oscar specifically for this film. This is pretty big news for the pixie haired diva as t it’s the first time she has EVER written an original song for a live action feature film. Quite the accolade!
Earlier this year, she also recorded a cover version of the legendary Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit,” for the film. Clearly over the moon about this song she took to her 27.9m followers as she shared: “Check out my version of “White Rabbit” for the brand new Alice Through The Looking Glass trailer!!!!” which she included with 3 heart emojis, awwww!
Several trailers have been released this year even though fans had a first look at the poster photos for the movie last Aug.! The film, which is a sequel to the 2010 live-action feature Alice in Wonderland, is due to debut in theatres May 27, 2016. Through the Looking Glass features Johnny Depp, 52, Helena Bonham Carter, 49, Sacha Baron Cohen, 31, Anne Hathaway, 33, and the late Alan Rickman. Alice returns to the magical world at 19-years-old as she reunites with her old friends from her childhood adventure and learns of her true destiny. She must end the Red Queen’s reign of terror! Yikes, that’s quite the undertaking.
