There have been so many incredible performances over the years at Coachella, so it’s pretty hard to narrow down which of them are the most unforgettable. However, there are a small handful of performances that immediately come to mind when you first think about Coachella’s history-making moments, and they are all listed below.
Let’s start with Tupac‘s hologram. Fifteen years after he was shot and killed in 1996, the legendary rapper returned to the stage as a hologram to perform some of his greatest hits. As if the performance couldn’t get any cooler, Tupac’s hologram was made to interact with his co-performers, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. Incredible!
Then, of course, we will never forget the moment that Madonna shoved her tongue down an unsuspecting Drake‘s throat to cap off her surprise performance at Coachella in 2015. But does that top the time Beyonce ran out on stage during her sister Solange‘s solo performance so that they could have a little sisterly dance-off?
Beyonce also made history at Coachella with her husband. Jay Z, when he became the first-ever rapper to headline the music festival in 2010. Kanye West quickly followed in Jay’z footsteps and headlined a year later in 2011, wowing the crowd with an unbelievable performance of his hit song “Power.”
