So cool! Walt Disney Co. started work on their highly-anticipated new ‘Star Wars’ attraction at Disneyland on Thursday, April 14, when they officially broke ground on the construction site and released a 360-degree image, digitally enhanced to include androids, Stormtroopers, and more!
Forget about The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Studios — Star Wars Land at Disneyland is going to be the hottest attraction on the west coast, once construction is complete. Walt Disney Co. broke ground on the highly-anticipated addition on Thursday, April 14, and also released a 360-degree image of the project site, digitally enhanced to include character, X-wing fighters and more! See it here.
It may take years for Walt Disney Co. to complete the attraction, but this digitally enhanced image of the construction site helps us imagine what the final product may look and feel like. In the new photo, which was posted by the LA Times, robots, X-wing fighters, walkers, androids and Stormtroopers can be seen scattered throughout the 14-acres of land.
“In these all-new lands, guests will be transported to a never-before-seen planet inhabited by humanoids, droids and many others,” the official Disney blog states. “Star Wars-themed lands will be the largest ever single-themed land expansions at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.”

No further details have been released at this time, but Disney officials previously said the area will include an attraction that allows guests to take control of the Millennium Falcon for a “customized secret mission.” So cool!
