To kick off the night, Pharrell’s remaining six artists, Daniel Passino, Moushimi, Hannah Huston, Emily Keener, Lacy Mandigo and Caity Peters joined forces for an incredible rendition of “Don’t You Worry Child.” Seeing them all sing together is amazing, but unfortunately, three have to go, and it’s time to get to those results.
Carson reveals that the two artists with the most of America’s votes are Hannah and Daniel, who was actually eliminated from Team Christina after the Knockouts and then brought back by Pharrell in the Live Playoffs. Finally, it’s time for Coach Pharrell to make his tough decision and pick one of the remaining four artists to bring to the Top 12, and he goes with Emily.
Next, Season 9 winner, Jordan Smith, who made Adam a three-time champion by completely slaying every single performance, returns to The Voice stage. He sings his brand new single “Stand In The Light,” and totally reminds us why there was never a question that he would take home the title last year.
Blake’s team, Mary Sarah, Joe Maye, Paxton Ingram, Justin Whisnant, Adam Wakefield and Katie Basden, come together for a performance next, and their mix of country and soul voices are just perfect during their rendition of “Hey Brother.” But only two of these amazing singers will have enough votes to automatically make it through, and Carson reveals it’s Adam and Mary who’ve won the viewers over. That leaves the final slot up to Blake, and he chooses his unsuspecting protege, Paxton, to move on.
The spotlight is on Team Christina next, but before getting to the results, Alisan Porter, Nick Hagelin, Ryan Quinn, Tamar Davis, Bryan Bautista and Kata Hay put on an amazing performance of “Stars.” The fun doesn’t last long, though! Carson reveals that Alisan (no surprise) and Nick, Xtina’s comeback choice, are the two contestants voted through by America, and now their coach has a REALLY tough decision to make. After an agonizing thought process, she goes with Bryan, but it’s obvious that was a hard one.
Finally, it’s time for Adam’s team, Owen Danoff, Laith Al-Saadi, Brian Nhira, Caroline Burns, Shaylah Fearing, and Nate Butler to put on a show. The group sings “Your Song,” and just like all the others, it’s totally amazing. Carson announces that the two team members voted through are Shaylah and Laith, and when Adam picks Owen to join them, we officially have the Season 10 Top 12!
The remaining artists will take the stage live on April 18 for another round of sure-to-be incredible performances, and from there, only 11 will move on. Here’s your Top 12, America!:
Pharrell: Hannah Huston, Daniel Passino, Emily Keener
Blake: Adam Wakefield, Mary Sarah, Paxton Ingram
Christina: Alisan Porter, Nick Hagelin, Bryan Bautista
Adam: Shaylah Fearing, Laith Al-Saadi, Owen Danoff
