The most interesting revelation from the Ted Cruz town hall on April 13 was who the family’s first dinner guest would be if they make it to the White House… the one and only Taylor Swift! You’ve got to see his adorable daughters raving about the singer, here.
Okay, this is adorable. Ted Cruz, 45, took the stage at the CNN town hall in New York on April 13, and he had his wife Heidi and two adorable daughters Catherine, 5, and Caroline, 7, by his side. The most hilarious moment was when Anderson Cooper asked who their first dinner guest at the White House would be, and they said Taylor Swift! Check it out, right here.
This is so precious! Ted brought his family along for his New York town hall on April 13, and his two adorable daughters totally stole the show. Anderson asked the family who they would want to be their first guest at the White House, and Ted’s two little girls got shy and after tossing the question back and fourth a few times, Heidi finally admitted it was none other than Taylor.
The whole family went on to rave about why they love TayTay so much (but then again, who doesn’t?!) and share some of their favorite songs. Caroline says she “loves all the songs” but her top three are “Bad Blood,” “Blank Space,” and “Wildest Dreams.” That’s when Ted poked fun at them for singing the songs on their karaoke machine, and Caroline explained why she doesn’t sing with Catherine. “Because she oversings me.” So cute!

The town hall was an interesting look into Ted’s life as a husband and father. His wife Heidi also explained how he’s a great listener with a sweet story about how he bought her flowers from a particular florist she loves just to make her happy, and about all of their early dates and nights spent talking on the phone. So sweet! It’s a far cry from the “bigot” people have been claiming him to be lately.
