Congratulations to Sarah Chalke and her fiancé Jamie Afifi! The two are expecting their second child together and we couldn’t be happier for the couple. Better yet — their little bundle of joy is reportedly due as early as this spring!
Sarah Chalke, 39, is pregnant again! Her pregnancy, which was confirmed on April 12, has apparently been kept on the hush-hush as the Scrubs star has actually been expecting for a while now. And with her due date fast approaching, we are SO excited for her and her fiancé, Jamie Afifi‘s, growing fam!
Sarah and Jamie, an entertainment lawyer, must be so pumped about welcoming a second baby into the world within the next few months. After all, they’re definitely no strangers to parenthood as they already have a six-year-old son, Charlie. But while both parents have six years of experience under their belts, there’s no question that their parenting journey hasn’t always been easy.
After all, when Charlie was a toddler, he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune condition known as Kawaski disease. Kawaski is actually super scary as it can be fatal for the approximately 4,200 children diagnosed with it annually. How awful! But of course Sarah and Jamie have done an amazing job caring for their son.
“It’s a very visual disease,” the actress previously revealed to E! News. “It’s a high fever, and then everything — because of the inflammation — goes red. So it’s red, bloodshot eyes, red lips, red rash and red hands and feet, and then the last telltale sign is the skin on the fingers peels back. It was absolutely the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, and there’s nothing in the world like not knowing if your kid is going to be okay.”
Wow, Sarah and Jamie have definitely been through A LOT! But after all of that hardship, we’re sure the two have grown even stronger as a couple AND as parents. And how exciting is it that little Charlie will soon be a big brother? Sarah’s latest project is starring opposite Jennifer Aniston, 47, Julia Roberts, 48, and Kate Hudson, 36, in Mother’s Day, which hits theaters on April 22. How appropriate!
