Maybe Leonardo DiCaprio is really a Los Angeles Kings fan? He certainly didn’t want anyone to know he was at the New York Islanders hockey game on April 9, because ‘The Revenant’ star tried to hide his leading-man good looks underneath his hat. Click to watch!
There’s no real reason for Leonardo DiCaprio, 41, to be embarrassed for watching a New York Islanders game. After all, the team made the 2016 NHL playoffs. Yet, by how Leo tried to hide his face during their game against the Buffalo Sabres, you think he wanted to be anywhere else!

Leo might not actually be a hockey enthusiast, as he was attending the game with his buddy (and New York Islanders superfan) Kevin Connolly, 42, according to Yahoo Sports. While Kevin was eager to see his team unfortunately lose to Buffalo in overtime, Leo tried to hide his face from onlookers.
“Trying to disguise himself, Howard Hughes style,” Howie Rose, 62, said, according to CBS Sports, making a The Aviator reference, “is Leonardo DiCaprio – we think. He doesn’t want anybody to know he’s here. It’s Mr. Leonardo DiCaprio who is seated in Section 1!” Thanks for blowing his cover, Howie!
It sort of looked like Leo was looking down at his phone at that moment, so perhaps he was texting back with Rihanna, 28? After all, the “Work” singer did reach out and “congratulate him briefly via FaceTime” after his Oscar win, a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. He could have even been chatting with Jennifer Lopez, 46. JLo tried to prank text Leo during James Corden’s, 37, Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special, but Leo totally went along with the joke! He even called her “BooBoo.” Take Ri and JLo with you, wherever you go, after signing up for unlimited and ad-free streaming music here.
If there’s anything that might make Leo happy, it’s that the Boston Bruins were eliminated from the playoffs. Why? Well, Leo and bears haven’t been the best of friends, thanks to a certain scene from his Oscar-award winning movie, The Revenant. At the Golden Globes, Jonah Hill, 32, made some awkward jokes about Leo’s bear scene while The Rock, 43, and Kevin Hart, 36, rapped how “Leo got f*cked by a bear” at the MTV Movie Awards. Damn. That’s cold.
Do you think Leo will ever go to a hockey game again after this, HollywoodLifers?
