It takes a supermodel to pull off the bold beauty look Cara Delevingne sported at the MTV Movie Awards. Rocking tousled beachy waves with the tiniest braided twist, Cara threw in a grayish mauve lipstick as her major beauty statement. Get the details on her look, and let us know what you think!
Cara Delevingne, 23, definitely didn’t play it safe at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, airing April 10. The supermodel turned actress donned a black Balmain jumpsuit with sheer detailing, pairing it with a gothic beauty look.

It may have be a while since we’ve seen Cara walk a red carpet, but she definitely hasn’t lost her touch — or her go-to beauty team. Mara Roszak, who has created some of our favorite looks on Cara, was behind her MTV Movie Awards hairstyle, too, and it’s definitely one you’ll want to try for yourself.
After styling Cara’s long blonde hair into volumized beachy waves with the help of a curling wand and texturizing spray like L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Txt It Tousle Waves Spray, Mara parted Cara’s hair off to the side before adding one very small (and very cool) detail to the look. Starting at the back of her part, Mara created a teen tiny three-strand reverse French braid that ran to the ends of Cara’s hair and was tucked behind her ear.
Molly Stern was behind Cara’s makeup look, which would have looked just as at home on the runway as it did at the MTV Movie Awards. Keeping her signature brows bold and defined, Molly added several coats of black mascara to Cara’s lashes and really played up her lip with a matte berry hue that had a gray undertone to it. For a similar look, try Lime Crime‘s liquid matte Velvetines in Teddy Bear.
Ahead of the awards, Cara shared a zoomed in Instagram of her pout, telling her fans to follow her night along on her Snapchat, caradevilqueen. Sharing quick clips of herself walking the red carpet and stopping for interviews, Cara’s MTV Movie Awards appearance has us excited to see more of her on the red carpet this year. Not only is her film, Suicide Squad (which also stars Ben Affleck and Margot Robbie), set to come out this summer, but Cara also has several other movies to be released later this year.
