Bernie Sanders pulled off his seventh straight victory over Hillary Clinton! The Vermont Senator defeated his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in Wyoming’s Caucus Apr. 9, by a percentage of 12.4%!
Bernie Sanders, 74 came out on top in the Cowboy State, pulling off another win and handing Hillary Clinton, 68, another humiliating loss. While there were only 14 delegates up for grabs, Wyoming’s main importance is it’s the last contest before the big New York primary Apr. 19 so any momentum going into that hugely important contest is worth it!
Wyoming was feeling the Bern as he took home his seventh straight victory over Hillary, with a win of 56.2% and 7 delegates, to her 43.8% and 6 delegates. This comes after his big win in Wisconsin Apr. 5 where he not only clobbered Hil, he took home 48 delegates to her 38. His campaign proves that he’s got plenty of momentum against the powerful Hillary political machine, but he really needs to step things up before the big New York contest,
There’s 247 delegates at stake in the New York primary and the delegates will divided proportionally based on the election results. Both of the candidates are focusing on the contest there and will be duking in out in their next debate on Apr. 14, which will be televised live on CNN. We know Bernie will go hard on Hillary about her Wall Street fundraising connects, but it should be interesting to see how that plays with her home crowd. After all, Hillary was once a New York Senator — but Bernie was born and raised in Brooklyn!
Hillary has a commanding lead in early polls for the New York battle, with various outlets putting her anywhere from 10 to 13 percentage points ahead Bernie. The pair is already focusing all of their attention on the Empire State and their campaigns are currently in full swing there.
