Carrie Underwood, 33, knows how much she owes American Idol for her fame, so during the show’s series finale on April 7 she took the stage to sing not once…but twice! Besides her own solo performance, Carrie also joined Keith Urban for a duet we’ll never forget — check it out here.
Just like the rest of the judges, Keith performed during the finale, but instead of singing one of his own songs, he brought Carrie on stage for a rendition of Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty’s “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.”
Looking dapper in a suit and tie, the “Wasted Time” singer rocked out on his guitar while Carrie rose up from beneath the stage as a surprise to the crowd. Can we just discuss her UNREAL outfit?! The 33-year-old looked flawless in a dress with metallic skirt and black fabric on top with the sides cut out to reveal her incredible figure. And, of course, those legs are on POINT. Later on, Carrie returned to the stage to inspire the crowd with her own song, “Something In The Water,” and she’s never sounded better. There’s a reason she’s the most successful Idol winner to date, and this proved it once again.
