Princess Kate Middleton just wore one of our favorite looks yet! Matching her makeup to her dress, Kate worked a subtle navy eyeliner into her beauty look at a royal reception on April 6. Find out how you can copy her royal blue liner for yourself!
Kate Middleton, 34, can pretty much do no wrong when it comes to her style and beauty looks. While we know we can always expect the Duchess to have the most perfect blowout imaginable every time she makes a public appearance, sometimes she mixes it up just a bit.
Just ahead of their royal tour to India and Bhutan, Kate and Prince William hosted a reception at their home in London for the young people from those two countries living in the UK. Dressed in a floor-length navy dress with polka dots, Kate donned a midnight blue eyeliner to match.
Kate kept her whole makeup look soft, applying a taupe eyeshadow across the lids and up to the crease of her eyes. To keep her eye makeup from looking too severe, a deep blue eyeliner was used on the Duchess’ upper lash line and smudged out to blend it all together.
For a similar look, use the Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Gel Eyeliner in Sapphire. If you want to make your look more dramatic, apply the liner heavier than Kate did for sharper lines. Or, choose a completely different eyeliner shade that matches whatever outfit you’re wearing that day!
Kate wasn’t the only beauty expert on hand at the reception. Burberry model, Neelam Gill, met with the Duke and Duchess, sharing a close-up shot of her glam look while on her way to her Instagram. In the post that she shared of herself with Kate, Neelam wrote: “Such an honour to be invited to #KensingtonPalace to meet Kate & William!” The Daily Mail also reported the runway model saying this after her meeting: “For my generation [William and Kate] have always seemed cool and approachable and I felt they were just that in person. It was really sweet seeing them as a couple.”
