Are you ready to rewatch that final scene of ‘The Walking Dead’ where we finally came face-to-face with Negan (and his freakin’ bat, Lucille)? Well here you go.
The Walking Dead‘s season six finale was one of the most intense that we’ve ever witnessed, mostly because of the last scene where the people we’ve fallen in love with over the past six seasons met the scariest villain ever. So, how did Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) add up? Watch the scene for yourself here. (P.S. spoiler alert.)
Are you scared yet? I’m pretty sure that I can no longer listen to any sort of whistling without getting goosebumps; it turns out that was Negan and his insanely huge crew all along. They faced all of Alexandria’s favorites (with the exception of Morgan and Carol) in the final scene before Negan took his bat to someone’s skull.
Well many weren’t too happy about the ending, and of course, the cast and crew headed on the after show to clear it up.
“As upset as people probably are at Negan’s introduction and how he’s coming in and killing somebody who is very beloved to everyone,” creator Robert Kirkman said on Talking Dead. “From his perspective, he’s the hero of his story, like most villains. And if we’d been following him this whole time, we’d be 100 percent on board with that.”
Showrunner Scott M. Gimple also defended that final scene: “When we reveal who’s on the receiving end, that’s going to be the start of another story. The kickback effects from that, what it makes everyone into, how they react, how the world changes for everyone — that’s the next part of the story.”
Do you think Negan will be a great villain? Who do you think he took out? Let us know!
