It’s almost time for WrestleMania 32, and its time we get our Banks Statement, or better still a full interview with WWE Diva Sasha Banks! Before her huge match against Becky Lynch and WWE Divas Champion Charlotte, she talked to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about many topics! Check more after the jump!
Update: The WWE has announced at WrestleMania 32 that the Divas will now be known as Superstars and the Divas Championship has been changed to the WWE Women’s Championship!
How important is this WrestleMania match to your career?
“Yeah! For me this is the moment. I have done NXT Takeovers and those have been absolutely amazing, and NXT Brooklyn. I thought that moment was the best thing, but to be on the biggest stage and PPV at the biggest event of them all… I have had this dream since I was ten and it is absolutely unbelievable! I want to steal the show. I want people to remember this match and have it go down in history. I am so ready for this, but also very nervous!”
Who was your inspiration growing up?
“My biggest inspiration has to be Eddie Guerrero. Watching him, I want to be the female version of him! He was by far my favorite wrestler of all time and I still watch matches of his every single day. He is my favorite wrestler of all time!”
When you win the Divas Championship, what will your feelings be if you walk into Raw as the champ after WrestleMania and Bailey shows up and challenges you for the title?
“Whoa dude! I like you! (laughs) I think that would be so cool, let’s pitch that! Bailey is one of my favorite opponents that I have ever been in the ring with, she is absolutely amazing and I absolutely can’t wait for her to come up to the main roster. She is the best and I would really look forward to that if that actually happened!”
The WWE also opens doors for acting, books etc. Any interest?
“I think that I would like to be a teacher after I’m done. I would like to stay at the performance center. That is why I am staying in Orlando. I would also love to be a producer, but I do see how stressful that is so… (laughs) Maybe, I’ll just be a teacher!”
Shane McMahon or The Undertaker?
“Oh my God, that is so hard! You want to say Undertaker, but I also want to see change, so I also want to go with Shane. When he came out a few weeks ago that was one of the biggest nights and I legit jumped out of my seat like a little kid! I had no idea he was coming back! I think I am going to go with Shane!”
Would you ever want the Divas Championship to be known as the Women’s Championship?
“Yes! Absolutely! That has been one of my biggest dreams! I mean, I don’t want to knock on it because I feel that people think I am hating on it when I knock on the title, but that has to be one of the ugliest titles I have ever seen in my entire life! When I win that title, expect it to look like a boss, that will be a boss title right there!”
WWE has WWE films. Would you want to appear in a future film?
“Oh! That’s hard! I would love to be in an action film! And I would choose, maybe some WWE Superstars like Sami Zayn, Tyler Breeze or AJ Styles! I love watching those guys!”
For those interested in watching WrestleMania 32, make sure to get the WWE Network. All the action starts at at 7PM EST/4PM PST. It’s going to be a riot!
