Sophie Beem, 16, is at it again! The New York native wowed us with her EP and now she’s got us loving her debut music video for, “Skyline.”Beyonce discovered Sophie and since then she’s taken the music world by storm with hits like, “I Got It” featuring Fetty Wap and she’s even currently on tour with Charlie Puth. This video will have you wanting to rearrange your Friday night plans because this looks way more fun than anything we had planned!
“We shot the video in Chinatown,” Sophie tells HollywoodLife.com. “I’m really excited, all my best friends are in it. We were in an arcade and played Dance Dance Revolution. I thought I was a pretty good dancer, until I tried playing that game!” This video is everything and we totally have it on repeat all day.
We told you that Sophie’s life changed when she performed for some of Bey’s Parkwood Music execs and then penned her a heartfelt letter. “[Beyonce] was on her tour in Amsterdam at the time. I was asked to put together a package for Beyoncé with a personal letter, photos, and videos,” she said. “I was like ‘Dear Ms. Knowles…’ I was excited to tell my story and grateful for the opportunity that someone like her would listen to what I had to say; care about what I was experiencing,” Sophie says. “I think she saw in me more than just an Upper East Side girl who wants to be a singer. She could tell I had gone through some things and that deep down I have a soul.”
