Oh no! Jesy Nelson of Little Mix has fallen ill, resulting in the girl group canceling two MAJOR shows in Belfast. But what’s actually wrong with the singer? Get the details on the dramatic cancellations here!
Little Mix was forced to cancel not one, but TWO shows in Belfast on March 31 after band member Jesy Nelson, 24, was reportedly too sick to perform. So sad! As concerned fans took to Twitter, causing the #GetWellSoonJesy to trend, we can’t help but worry about the singer. After all, she DID break down in tears during Little Mix’s Dublin show hours earlier. Yikes!
“Little Mix have unfortunately had to cancel both of their arena shows in Belfast today,” a statement posted on the official Little Mix Twitter account read. “Sadly Jesy is unwell and unable to sing, and as a result both the matinee and evening shows are cancelled. Little Mix would like to apologise to their fans. Ticket holders should hold on to their tickets and await further news.”
Aw poor Jesy! The “Black Magic” singers were due to perform both a matinee and an evening show at the SSE Arena in Belfast, but due to Jesy’s current condition, they were forced to cancel LAST minute. The announcement was made shortly after doors had opened for the group’s matinee performance, leaving many fans who had already arrived at the venue disappointed. Talk about bad news!

But while everyone gets sick, what’s truly worrisome is Jesy’s strange, emotional behavior during Little Mix‘s show just hours earlier on March 30 in Dublin. The brunette beauty broke down in tears on stage, concerning fans as she tried to keep it together admitting, “I’m so emotional!” After wiping away tears, Jesy’s bandmates could be seen rushing to comfort her, before she revealed, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me!” Considering her fragile state last night, it’s no huge surprise that Little Mix cancelled their performances, but how sick Jesy truly is, remains to be seen. We hope she’s OK!
And this isn’t even the first time Little Mix has had to cancel due to Jesy’s health. In November she was forced to pull out of the group’s promotional tour in Japan after getting an ear infection and being advised not to travel. And unfortunately this is ALSO not the first time a major show in Belfast has been cancelled last minute. Last October, One Direction called off a gig at the SSE after singer Liam Payne, 22, fell sick.
