Awkward! The troubled LA Lakers will host the Miami Heat at Staples Center at 10:30pm EST on March 30th. Watch the Lakers try to come together online here!
Kobe Bryant, 37, and Dwyane Wade, 34, will have their final meeting when the Miami Heat come to Los Angeles on March 30th for one last tangle this season. In the middle of loads of locker room drama, the Lakers are looking for another win or two before they retire the jersey of their future hall-of-famer, Kobe, who has 8 games left in his decorated career. Catch the all the action online here.
D’Angelo Russell, 20, and Nick Young, 30, sure know how to send off their superstar teammate Kobe. D’Angelo has found himself in the middle of an off-court scandal which has left the Laker locker room fractured. A recording D’Angelo made of Nick confessing to cheating on his pop star fiance Iggy Azalea, 25, surfaced this week causing a major riff among Laker teammates.
Call it breaking bro-code, or breaking an unwritten locker room rule, or just call it dumb, the rookie Laker D’Angelo probably should not have released that video. Not to justify Nick’s cheating on anyone but the whole situation stinks and now a team who should be celebrating one of the greatest players in NBA history is left in disjointed pieces pointing fingers. Some party.
To say the Lakers are bad, at 15-59, is an understatement. So teammates have used pranks on each other as a way to blow off steam during this stressful season. Maybe call this cheating confession a prank gone very awry. Miami on the other hand are on the upswing with plenty of star power in Dwyane and Chris Bosh. They are entering this match-up with a great 43-30 record heading into the post season. The Heat should have no problem dispatching the Lakers who are coming off Kobe’s worse loss of his career, a 75-123 hammering by the Utah Jazz.
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Will you be rooting for the Lakers and Kobe? Or would you like to see the Heat roll?
