Kyrie Irving has a lot going on in his head…but he’s clearly not letting it get to him. He proved that on the basketball court March 29 by leading his team in points scored against the Houston Rockets! Is he totally unfazed that his ex-girlfriend, Kehlani, attempted suicide just hours earlier?!
Kehlani’s suicide attempt clearly had no impact on Kyrie Irving’s basketball game! Even though his team lost, the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard had a great game against the Houston Rockets on March 29, despite all the drama going on in his personal life.

Even though the Cavs fell to the Rockets 106-100, Kyrie really stepped up and pushed the noise out of his head to come through for his team. The 24-year-old led all scorers in the game by putting up 31 points, scoring 9 of 23 from the field.
Considering the 24 hours before the game were incredibly hectic for the NBA star, these numbers are impressive. The Internet blew up when PARTYNEXTDOOR posted a photo that alleged Kehlani had cheated on Kyrie with him, and after all the backlash, the 20-year-old even revealed she’d attempted suicide! But while PND was by her bedside, Kyrie, who Kehlani claims was not her boyfriend with when she got back with the rapper, was focused on his career, and clearly putting all his energy into the game.
In the hours leading up to the game, it wasn’t even certain that Kyrie would take the court, as his teammates and coaches were understanding of the situation and let him know that they’d stand by him if he needed to sit out. But the guys, especially LeBron James, have given Kyrie a ton of support, and it was obviously enough motivation for him to step it up.
“LeBron is privately supporting Kyrie because basketball is a mental game and he wants to make sure that Kyrie’s mind is right leading into the playoffs,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “LeBron doesn’t want anything to derail Cleveland’s chances of winning a championship and something like this could really do that. He really wants to protect Kyrie from all the questions he will hear from the media. They have already had a few private talks and LeBron is also considering holding a private team meeting to make sure everyone is on the same page and giving Kyrie the support he needs.”
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that Kyrie had such a good game amid all this drama?
