Season 11 of ‘The Voice’ is going to be extremely different when Miley comes in like a wrecking ball. HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that Mark Burnett is so excited to hear from all new singers, thanks to Miley being Miley!
With Miley Cyrus as a mentor this season, many are wondering why and how she’ll transition into judge for the next season. Plus, when was she offered to take over for the Gwen Stefani/Christina Aguilera/Shakira chair? Luckily, we have all that and more.
“The Voice has probably seen every singer out there. The pool of singers that try out for The Voice or American Idol is saturated. A lot of people come back and try multiple times to be a part of the show,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “But Mark Burnett, among many reasons, feels that Miley is going to spark interest in singers young and old and quirky, that may have never applied before. It should add an amazing element to what The Voice already offers.”
We also found out that Mark and the producers who filmed her mentoring on the current scene liked her so much before they offered her the judging gig, and she couldn’t believe how much she loved it.
“They were in constant conversation and he offered her the gig and she jumped at the chance to work on the show,” the insider said. “She thought that it would be a great idea and she is very excited to try it out. Everyone is very happy that she is now a part of the team and everyone expects it to be game changing!”
Of course, just as a mentor for Christina’s team, we can already feel the girl power and her voice is definitely inspiring the singers — how could it not? Are you excited to see Miley as a judge next season? Let us know!
