Hook reunited with brother Liam in the Underworld in an attempt to defeat Hades on the March 27 episode of ‘Once Upon A Time.’ Plus, we finally learned what Hades’ has been hiding!
Hook and Emma were finally back together, but they were still trapped in the Underworld. On the March 27 episode of Once Upon A Time, Hook’s guilt got the best of him, Liam and Emma argued over Hook, and Hades’ shocking secret was revealed!
Henry was being a “naughty boy” by helping Cruella find her way back to the real world. They were out to find the quill, and Henry swore he saw something in the woods. He ran into the Sorcerer’s Apprentice! He begged Henry not to resurrect Cruella.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice told Henry he should be recording stories, not creating them. Henry was tired of being on the sidelines. He wanted to be a hero. The Apprentice agreed to help him with his journey. There was a key that Henry needed to get his hands on, and the Sheriff had it!
Emma and Hook were finally together again, and their first order of business was getting Hook looking spiffy again. When Emma went in for a kiss, Hook turned her away! He felt super guilty about everything he had done. He thought of himself as weak. Cheer up, Killian!
“I’m not sure I deserve saving,” Hook told Emma. Then his brother Liam showed up. When Hook told his older brother about his plan to destroy Hades, Liam said they were playing a dangerous game. Apparently, there was a storybook in the Underworld that could help them defeat Hades. So the search was on!
Never Give Up On Family
During the search, Liam had a little chat with Emma. He was not a fan of Captain Swan. He told Emma she wasn’t good enough for Hook. Hook had been battling darkness his entire life, and Liam believed Emma threw him into it head first. Liam wanted Emma to let Hook go.
You see, Liam had always protected Hook, even when Hook didn’t deserve it. Way back when, Hook was the weak link, but Liam would never give up on his brother. He even refused to leave Hook behind instead of going into the Navy.
Liam might have been the ultimate good guy then, but that wasn’t the case now. Hades found Liam at the bar. He wanted Liam to find the storybook and destroy the pages about him. If Liam didn’t do Hades’ bidding, Hades would tell Hook the real reason he was down here.
Turns out, Hades and Liam had a history. Back when Hook and Liam were just getting thing’s started, they staged a mutiny on a ship. Hades showed up and offered Liam a deal. Liam had to let the ship sink, but Hades would make sure Hook and Liam survived. Hades would also give Liam the eye of the storm that would ensure Liam’s success.
Lies, Lies, Lies
Snow and Charming found the key at the police station. Cruella showed up unexpectedly, and we learned she had been hooking up with James. Meanwhile, Emma vented to Regina about Hook and Liam. Regina knew what Hook was going through. He hadn’t forgiven himself for what he had done, and that’s why he and Emma couldn’t go back to the way things were.
They all headed to the Sorcerer’s house. Liam found the book and tore Hades’ pages out! Regina, Emma and Hook found the book a little too late. Emma knew something was up. She told Hook she thought Liam was lying, but Hook refused to believe anything bad about his brother. Liam threw the pages down a well when Emma walked up.
She knew Liam was hiding something and wanted to prove it to Hook. Our favorite Captain was still feeling down on his luck. “Why bring me back if I should just move on?” he told Emma, before revealing that he wasn’t coming back to Storybrooke. Emma had just walked away when Hook discovered Liam had been lying the whole time!
‘You Will Pay For This’
The men from the ship showed up. Captain Silver revealed that he saw Liam at the bar with Hades making a deal. Captain Silver and his men took Hook and Liam to the pit of fire. Before the brothers could walk the plank, Hades turned up. He knocked Captain Silver right into the flames. Hades was ready to punish Hook, but Liam refused to let him hurt Hook.
So Hades knocked Liam into the pit, but Hook grabbed him at the last second. Hook begged his big brother to forgive himself. Liam let go of Hook’s hand and fell into the fire! But he wasn’t burned alive. Suddenly, the fire cleared, and it was a calm ocean. Liam was able to move on. But Hades got really scared and said, “You will pay for this.”
Before Liam sailed away, he wanted Hook to tell him that he was sorry. Hook went straight to Emma to let her know that she had been right about Liam. They patched things up with a kiss!
Henry finally confessed to everyone he had the Author’s pen. After some rant about wanting to be a hero, he vowed to write stories the right way. He was going to recreate Hades’ story. They all knew Hades was hiding something, they just didn’t know what. It was pretty big what he was hiding — a secret romance with Zelena!
