We’ve all seen — and probably double-tapped — the gorgeous pic Kendall Jenner shared in June that’s not the most-liked Instagram on the Internet. But now, the model is revealing just what went into taking that perfect shot…and it’s not as extensive as you’d think!
What does one have to do to get the most likes out of everyone on an Instagram photo? Well, Kendall Jenner, 20, is letting us in on her secret! Find out what went into taking the pic that took over Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding photo as the most popular Instagram — you won’t believe what Kenny has to say.
The pic was taken on a yacht off the coast of Monaco, and posted to Kendall’s Instagram page in May 2015. In the shot, she’s laying on the floor while wearing a gorgeous, white lace outfit, with her hair perfectly shaped into a crown of hearts. But would you actually believe that the whole thing was unplanned and even kind of accidental?
“I was having a bad day,” Kendall tells Vogue in a new interview. “I wasn’t in the flow. I was like, ‘Everyone sucks.'” Luckily, she was with her very best friends, Kylie Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid, during the rough time, and they made her feel better by perfectly placing her hair in the gorgeous pattern, then capturing a photo of it.
But the supermodel had no idea how much of an impact it would have! In fact, she almost didn’t even post the photo to her social media account in the first place.
“I was lying in bed and messing with it,” she explains. “And I thought, ‘Is this good?’ And I just posted it, and I remember looking at it right away and having lots of likes and saying, ‘Huh!'” Yup, she totally wasn’t expecting it at all!
The photo has now been liked more than 3.5 million times — can you believe that?! Kendall’s Instagram is one of the most popular accounts, with more than 50 million followers, and we love keeping up with what she’s doing day after day. Will anyone ever beat this record?!
Are you surprised that this is the most-liked Instagram of all time, HollywoodLifers? Did you double tap?
