1. Buddy is from Freeport, Bahamas.
Just like two-time NBA champion Mychal Thompson, Buddy was born on the islands off the eastern coast of Florida. There must be something in the water there because there’s been some amazing athletes from the Bahamas over the years.
2. Buddy is a shooter.
The guy can score from anywhere on the floor. He is great in the paint and deadly from outside. He put 182 balls in the bucket from three point city his last two seasons at Oklahoma, a school record.
3. The guy is short.
Ok, maybe he is not that short at 6’4,”but compared to most shooting guards in the NBA, Buddy is not an ideal height. But what he lacks in size, he makes up in arm-length and speed.

4. Kobe Bryant is a fan.
Yep! On Mar. 24, after Buddy put up a double-double for a Sweet Sixteen victory over Texas A&M, the college star and Kobe shared a moment together. They shook hands and Buddy was cleared moved by the NBA veterans’ gesture.
5. Everyone loves him.
Buddy is adored by his team. His Sooners teammates named him the biggest hustler, trash-talker, most competitive, loudest and most likely to ball-out in the NBA. Everyone who meets Buddy, including Kobe, loves him.
